I’ll have a booth at Great Grapes Wine &Crafts festival next weekend in Reston VA - I’ll be selling fused glass plates &mosaics –&will be sharing booth with my friends Kay &Chris,who are also great glass artists. it should be fun to have a crowd there who will be relaxing &partying! here are directions to the festival –http://www.uncorkthefun.com I’ll post examples of what I’m taking later!  strip cut from a melt project this is another favorite project!  class project Took strip cut class at Vitrum Studio in Beltsville,MD –such great class! &learned how to cold-work the edges. Have been playing with glass melts,then slicing those thick melts- this one was a melt of various greeens that I cut into bead shapes –I was playing with color combinations and an artist friend suggested I mix with purple -  experiment in green when I was in San Diego last spring for ASM Annual meeting,I was amazed at the sculpture &wonderful art right along the waterfront. I finally uploaded photos of 2 sculptures  maybe it's underwater anenome or desert cactus?
Chris,my good glass buddy,also decorated a planter for the Festival she has posted photos on her Facebook page the theme is Ready,Set,Grow and it’s a community art project - Really excited about my mosaic’ed planter done for Columbia Festival for the Arts - 50 local artists all have decorated planters –some are painted,one was done with beads.
